There's 2 different types of jailbreak ones an tethered and the others unterthered the difference is tethered is were you jailbreak your phone but every time you turn your phone off and back on you will have to connect to iTunes. Unterthered is when your phone can turn on without plugging it in to iTunes or it the other way round unterthered is when u have to plug it in or visa verser. But this might also help have you tried putting it into dfu mode? Hold the power button for ten seconds then hold down the home button whilst holding onto the power button at the same time and release after 15 seconds of holding them both down repete this 2/3 times that might do it. If not tome to restore your phone if you don't want to keep plugging in your phone to turn it on!
