What is meant by CAS status in financial industry?Wondering how on can get that?

I am a qualified mortgage broker and while surfing around for a job came across companies who are asking for CAS status.Is it some sort of an exam?How can I get CAS status?
 
Competant Adviser Status.

It's what you get by proving that you are competant in your job according to the standards the company lay down. Normally given to you after a period of time some produced business and a short interview with the training manager.

You should have that by now within your role.
