I think the answer is:
Failing to APPRECIATE what God gave us.
Failing to APPRECIATE what we have, when we have it.
For example:
A child has a father who is always moaning at her and being generally horrible making life a misery. He has failed to appreciate that before the child's birth, unbeknown to him, God worked a very special miracle.
The child's heart was in the wrong place.
But God decided to make the child perfect - so the parents would have an easy life and the child would be pain-free and healthy. If God had not worked this miracle, the child would have needed at least 4 major operations resulting in scars across the chest and stomach...
But because the father has not appreciated that, he has failed to appreciate he is the Guardian of this special child, who is perfect.
This is a HYPOTHETICAL example. Please don't pull me to bits saying more operations would have been needed etc., or that God does not exist, or that if God existed he would make all children perfect etc. Please just answer the question.
In others words:
The humble shall inherit the Earth.
