for someone as un-techie as me, the definition "when some processor cores are not needed, they are turned off and the power is cycled to the active cores, resulting in more speed" is kinda hard to digest. aren't cores of a processor supposed to handle tasks in a "division of labor" manner? sorry if you people got insulted, but i dont really know. hey, that's why im asking. =/
