what is HTML Web browser?

i am on verizion wireless.com and i am comparing blackberries and one of the blackberries doesn't have HTML web browser, what is it! i want a good phone but i cant afford the nicest one. and what is the difference between the blackberry bold and the curve?
 
html browser is any kind of browser like chrome,firefox,internet explorer,opera etc....so if cell phone don't have browser it's mean that you can't go to browse internet winth cell phone and you choose better cellphone....
