What is different b/w .42 and Nokia N80 IE edition?

Just what exactly are the improvements?

Is there any possibility that SMS on Cingular blue will work reliably with Nokia N80 IE edition?

of course sms will work reliably!...and my FW is the newest for the N80ie and it's .38 if that's what your referring to when you say .42

.42 is the most recent version of the non IE firmware.

My N80 isn't covered by any warranty so is Nokia ever planning on releasing anything like this for the regular N80 firmware? If not then I guess I can move to the IE version. But I hesistate knowing that I cannot go back should I ever need to.

My experience is that the N80 is a phone that doesn't work reliably re: receiving SMS on time with Cingular (blue)
