support can be stopped? I went to court today to have a modification on my child support order.
My son is 20 freaking years old and in NY state you have to pay till a kid is 21 - ridiculous. He has been in and out of jail - on drugs and it makes me sick I have to still pay. Went to court today because I filed a modification to say he's emancipated but the judge said I have to show proof and gave me another court date to come back to with proof. Does anyone have any idea what proof I can submit for the judge to accept? Him and his mother are awful people in trouble witht he law and dishonest. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
