What is considered a new account

Hi, I'm stuck in an expensive family plan deal with At&t. My 2 year contract is up in a few weeks. I've been looking to get a good deal on a family plan with 4 phones with At&t. I do not feel like switching carriers. The best place i can find is wirefly.com and letstalk.com. Do you guys know any better places to upgrade my phones (i want a razr 2 v9 and Lg shine + some other phones at lowest price). However most of the deals applies only to new customers. Is it possible to open an account under my spouse's name and be considered a new customer?
 
If you have a Wal-Mart nearby you should check them out. They have more phones to choose from than just what's at their kiosk. They can order quite a few models at no charge. The cool thing about them is they bypass most of the rebates you get so you don't have to wait to get the price that's advertised. In other words, lowest price then, no waiting on the 6-8 week rebate to come in. Never hurts to look. It's where I got my phone.
