I want to know what constitutes somthing as art. What is the defining criteria behind somthing being "art". For example, I could take a bunch of scrap metal and throw it together. Is this art? If it forms a real image, it is, but is ANYTHING considered art?
And if you are willing to answer an additional question, what makes some art pieces (example Bird In Space) so valuable when they seem to have no meaning behind them and are totally abstract? Why are they immenselly valuable?
