I have a 2002 chevy cavalier. When I accelerate there is a loud roar that fills the entire inside of the car and there is a vibration under my feet and around the dash. It is only when accelerating and when coasting the sound goes away. The intensity increases with the push of the gas pedal and also occurs when in neutral hitting the gas.
I have another sound that occurs when coasting, but it sounds like it's coming from the tires. (Someone described it as a scrubbing sound that isn't constant, but rather like a rhythmic sound with the rotation of the tires.)
There is also a high pitched and fast trilling/ whirling type sound when I'm in idle that comes from center and in front of us. (Dash or forward.)
I don't have the money to have this professionally checked until I get paid, just hoping for something to relieve my anxiety (or potentially cause more) for the time being.
