Work in a three, Chiropractor Office. San Diego, CA. What is the Las with regard to breaks and lunches? It is a smaller business; three doctors, one only there 3 days out of 5, myself at 35 hours and a 9 hour a week filing girl. After working from 9 am until nearly 3:30 pm, I was denied a 15 minute break. Then was told to "walk around the office" for my break so one doctor didn't have to answer his phone and I was expected to answer it during my break. I almost never take breaks or lunches 99% of the time due to it being primarilly myself working there and previous resistance to it. HELP! If they give you a break, can they demand you stay in the office, much less continue to work? To me that is not a break. Also told "do you pay me or do I pay you".
