What is best UK mobile network which does not load your handset with protected items...

...that can't be deleted? E.g, I have been with Vodafone for a while and I've received some Sony Ericsson phones. Some preloaded stuff can't be deleted. Also, some features are disabled.

Vodafone Live has been made a shortcut which can't be changed for two keys or more. I mean one shortcut would be enough!

I am looking at changing network so could I have a list of networks in order that shows what the best is for, regarding the above?
 
To be honest, I don't think there IS one. I have had vodafone, O2 and am now on 3 - ALL have had items that cannot be deleted. I have a couple of friends on Orange and they have said the same.

I think the only way would be to purchase a phone from "Nokia" or Sony" or whoever that isn't Network specific. There is a name for this, but for the life of me can't think what it is... Am sure someone else will fill in the missing word lol.

That said, doing it that way rules you out from getting a "free phone".
