i understand what athletic training is, however I am still confused about sports medicine. what exactly do they do? do they do surgery? do they have to become an athletic trainer first, then go on to med school? or can you do both at the same time.
I'm interested in athletic training, but I want to know if i should tack on sports medicine as well. i do not want to be a surgeon, so is sports medicine an area where I can be a doctor without cutting people open? help!
