I heard a lot of studies and news about vitamin b12 for vegans.

-Many (though not all) of the effects of functions of B12 can be replaced by sufficient quantities of folic acid (another B vitamin).
-Elevated Homocysteine level is bad for the body. Homocysteine is from Methionine and Homocysteine can be recycled into methionine again by Vitamin B12. But Vitamin B6 convert Homocysteine into Cysteine which is a raw material for making glutathione(master antioxidant).
-B6 is better than b12 in minimizing homocysteine levels,
-Study shows that B12 is found in some fermented soy products which are tempeh and miso.
-However, B12 in miso and tempeh are maybe not active form of cobalamin.
-Laboratory experiments shows that rats with B12 deficiency are healed by eating seaweed.
-However, Seaweeds are not considered reliable source of vitamin b12 maybe because of they are not source of active vitamin b12.
-Active B12 can be synthesize in our large intestines but we cannot absorb vitamin b12 in our intestine because absorption of b12 takes place in the ileum.
-Although some study shows that there are some bacteria in our ileum that produces vitamin b12, we still cannot absorb them because b12 is needed to be attached in IF(intrinsic factor) from our stomach so that b12 can be absorbed by our ileum.
-Folic acid can correct most of the problems in vitamin b12 defficiency.
-However, folic acid will not correct changes in the nervous system that result from vitamin B12 deficiency.

What are the facts, beliefs, studies, experiments, etc. about vitamin b12 that I don't know and a vegan need to know?
Do you think I'm not worrying about the rat? I'm also worrying about the rat. I wish that the rat is still alive and health and at is better if the rat is free.
