Hello! So i have my G1 for the past 2 years and im currently for an upgrade on phones but don't know which phone to get. I am currently with T-Mobile under my friends line since she works there and my bills are cheap. Her mom needs a phone and i have to sign up somewhere soon and im guessing im going with T-Mobile again. Since im going to be a new customer i will qualify for a discount on a phone. So is there any other good phones out there that is running OR can run Android system?

MyTouch 4G or the G2 is what I'd recommend. I myself would lean towards the MyTouch 4G.

I bought my wife the G2 which is an excellent phone, because she 'required' a keyboard. Now that she has started using Swype, she wishes she had a thinner phone without a keyboard. So, I'd suggest the MyTouch4G with its front facing camera and all.

Why not the Samsung Vibrant? Only because it lacks HSPA+ highspeed networking. The difference is huge. Although if you're going based on price, a Vibrant is a nice get as well (great screen on that device).

Agree with the above, and find myself in exactly the same situation, trading up a G1. The Keyboard on the G2 turns me off, but since wifi calling is available I must have it. Supposedly this update will be coming for Android phones in general, but it's more important to me even than the "4G" speed HSPA because I have terrible service at home and I travel aboard a lot. Using wifi calling overseas means my calls are "free" (out of my calling/text package). So, I'm looking at the Motorola Defy. I know, it doesn't have 2.2. But, I can live without that (I've been on 1.6 all this time) but cannot live w/o wifi calling.

^^ Target got that good of a deal!?! i need to check that out. I just looked at the Motorola Defy and its not that bad looking. As for the MT4G not bad also. Other then that the Defy> MT4G? other then the 2.2 to the 1.6?

I looked at the G2 at Best Buy and don't like the way it raises up away from the keyboard. Looks and feels flimsy. It has more of an push and lift action to it, more than an slide action. I was like its cool, before I seen that.

Not familiar with the My Touch 4G though.

Get all your info. There's lots to choose from.
