what is an interesting dominant color harmony?

I have to create a picture of fruit/veggies for my design and color class. Then we have to use a dominant color harmony, one that will make the background and the figure contrast in value. I have chose peas so i want green or yellow as my main colors. Any suggestions would be awesome.
 
for the background do a dull orange.

orange is a cross compliment of green, and it will make your color scheme unpredictable. but a bright orange would make the subject look less intense, so go for a duller hue, mised with blue or something.
