Rip up newspaper or brown paper and stick in onto your book, and draw with chalks over the top of it, or print pictures off the internet of stuff you like/is arty and cut them out and stick them in the middle of the ripped paper. And write/type random words on white paper and cut them out and stick them on. So you have the contrast between ripped and straight edges, its quick and shouldn't be too hard.
