It's got nothing to do with a chip and everything to do with your riding skill- trust me. I could beat guys on 1000cc bikes on my 600cc. Save your $500 and buy some leathers and a safe riding course- much better use of your cash. That bike is a rocket right out of the crate. If you feel the need to modify- a loud (safe) pipe and a sprocket will get you noticible improvements. Make sure you have a steering damper too.
