what is a symbian mobile phone?

Symbian is the operating system used by Nokia smart phones.
S60 is the better one with all smartphone capabilities like (Nokia N97, Nokia 5800 Nokia E71) and S60 is the cheaper version of symbian which is very limited like (Nokia 5300, Nokia 5310)
