I have one suggestion, thank you Liz, for failure as a topic. What is a rare topic. Love, common; pain, common; beauty, common. What do you think of what I have so far for failure? This is very rough, first go around. What else can I write about?
practice, preparation, repetition I strive
pushing forward wanting to better my life
my future swirling bright in my head
only to come up short and be left for dead
what? How? but? I tried so hard
Yet it wasn't good enough, I didn't win the part
pushing hard to go the distance
heart pumping, feet stomping, caught underneath
drowning in a pool gasping for air
no power no strength, nothing left in my tank
over and over again my head replayed forward to back
disbelieving, unrelenting, whirlwind of failure, fading to black
can't accept, can't believe,
the numbness soon prevails
the successful, faces so happy,
wanting to smack them, shake them, it's not fair
QUiET, shut UP, i need to be left

will it be ok? I will be ok, dark lone wolf in a sheep's white fleece
I can do better, i know I can, success achieved, though that ship has sailed
all that's left, all I feel, loser lost, I have failed
