I am 17 years old. Lately I've been very depressed. I've stayed home from school a few days the past two weeks because I would just sit at home in bed all day, and my parents want me to go to a psychiatric hospital because they hear me crying in my room some days.
They also want me to go because I was making suicidal threats a few months ago.
I'm not suicidal right now or anything, I just feel really sad and stressed from school, but if in a few weeks I just feel like not leaving the house again, they might make me go to the hospital one day instead of going to school.
Basicly, I wouldn't mind trying to get help as long as they don't force me to take mood altering medicine at the hospital. Don't I have the right to refuse that? I'm just afraid of that, being forced to take mood altering medicine, will they do that?
