What is a Leveling kit for a dodge ram? ?

I have heard of people getting there dodge rams to sit level with something called a leveling kit. who makes this kits and i guess how do they work. any information on these would be great. i drive a 2wd dodge ram and i just want it to sit straight. and from what i have found these kits aren't to terribly expensive. would i be able to install it myself? any info and links would be great.
