I have never seen such confusion in a field...I was a HCA..which I understand from some is now a PSW but others say "no a PSW is just below a HCA" than some say LPN is a Licenced Practical Nurse in BC region and US which is the same as our RPN which is some say is a Registered Practical Nurse and some are saying is a Registered Psychiatric Nurse which some say is the old RNA that is Registered Nurses Assistant in Ontario. Some of this confusion is right inside the Canadian Nursing Association. If anyone has not opinions but actual documented information....I have a friend who is moving from BC to Ontario with an LPN and said it was comparible to my daughter's RN course that she is taking at McMaster and yet is finding it difficult to get a job at the hospitals...not sure why since there is many jobs available according to the Hamilton Health Sciences Jobsite. Think it is because they need to upgrade their education.

Thanks
