What is a good weight for a bmx bike?

I am getting a bmx bike and I want lightweight but what is lightweight like 20 pounds or 27 pounds. I mean what is considered lightweight and what is considered heavy? I am a beginner and i want to do flatland and street riding. I also have a budget of like 200-300 dollars
 
Uhm for 200-300 dollars your not gonna get much. 28-30 pounds is good for that budget. The lightest bmx bikes are 18-20 pounds. But the norm for a light bmx bike is around 22 pounds. Mine is 23 and 1/2 pounds but that is because i dont want certain parts on my bike to be to light for example i have 14mm axles in the front and back. So my advice is save money get like 500 dollars and buy a good stock bike u can then upgrade pieces when they BREAK
