What is a good tire for my Suzuki Enduro?

Halt

I just got this Suzuki 250 that I plan on riding on the street and off road at times. Are there serious drawbacks to putting knobby tires on it? I am interested in going with a Dunlop but have also seen a lot of guys who use Enduro's with a more slick tire. Do you get better handling and cornering with there when riding on pavement? Are these safer?

Thanks

Knobby tires have several drawbacks. The get very wobbly at higher speeds (40+ mph) and they do not grip as well (due to much smaller contact patch).

If you want knobbies i suggest the Dunlop d606s they have a little lower profile than the Michelin ac10s (which are essentially dot approved off road tires) and will be a little more stable on the road. I rode a DR250 that i had just put AC10s on and it was horrible for street riding.

If you don't do a lot/any hard off road riding I really like the Dunlop d607s my buddy has them on his dr250 and they can handle any street riding conditions.
