What is a good thing to get a 89 year old man who lives in a nursing home for christmas?

a poster of victoria secrets???? to hang on his wall..just kidding... doesnt he already have everything in there .. maybe a little nativity set or poinsetta but they probably have those in there already..

Get him a sneaky sack so he can hide his important stuff so it doesn't get taken by the workers, that's what was happening to my Grandpa - just google sneaky sack

Find out what he likes to eat. If he can't get around much and he doesn't have anyone to go out for him, he probably can't get his favorite snacks very often.

Get him one of those grabber things to help him pick things up off the floor. My old grandmother can't live a day without her heating pad because of her arthritis. Anything that you would look at and say, "Wow, that looks really comfortable" would work, too. From what I understand, everything hurts when you're old, so the more comfortable everything is, the better.

Some new clothes, maybe a sweater (cardigan is the easiest to put on and take off). If he is mentally and physically able to go out and if it's ok with his family and the nursing home, take him out for lunch. McDonald's or a food court in a mall would be fine. It's possible that he hasn't been out of the home for years.
