I am writing a paper on low self-esteem due to the influence of the media. I need to figure out a good thesis statement... so far I have... Television shows and ads are causing many teenage girls to have low self-esteem. Can anyone help me make a better one or narrow this one down a little?! Thank you!

Miley Cyrus is not a real girl. Real girls are nothing at all like Miley Cyrus. Real girls aren't hot looking superstar pop star actresses'

Miley Cyrus is simply someone's perverted ideal of a girl. With the right makeup, backup, synthesizers and photo ops any girl could appear to be Miley Cyrus, but real girls in the real world don't have that opportunity.

I could go on, but I'll just get mad again.

Some criminals rip people off causing life to come out to how you should want it.

People find it hard being secure because of the television adds they watch.

There is alot of pressure in televisions ads causing a feeling of unsecurity.

Teens are being affected by television and the media more than ever playing a crucial role on their self-esteem.

Teens are more vulnerable to the media more than ever with the symbolisms of the media lowering their self-esteem.

Those are the best I could come up with.
