What is a good second hand car I can buy for about $10000 Aussie Dollars?

I need to buy a car. I'd like something reliable and reasonably fuel efficient. I'd spend up to $10000. I drive mostly in the city to and from work each day (8kms) and about 10 road trips a year. What brand, models and year would your recommend to look at?
