What is a good science fiction book?

A few books I really like are:
The Experiment by John Darnton
The Host by Stephenie Meyer
All of Dan Browns books
The Giver

and then some books that i like that arent science fiction are
the twilight series
Harry Potter series
Life of Pi

so based on the types of books i enjoy...
does anyone have any suggestions for a book i should read??
