What is a good program where I can make a photo slideshow?

The program,must be a good one where you can add text,add effects, MOST IMPORTANTLY TO DO IMAGE TRANSITIONS. AND OTHER COOL FEATURES.

Please, it must be a program, NOT a online site where you upload your images then do it like that. I must be able to download it.( Not Nero 9,10, It cant do image transitions.
