what is a good point to argue for clothes?

i'm starting a new year of school and i was expecting to get clothes before school started. my mom told me that i would. but now she's changed her mind and i can't go shopping until after school starts. i know this sounds so stupid and petty, but it's my first year of high school! please help me come up with something that would help me get my mom to let me go shopping before school! thanks!
 
Well perhaps your mother has a reason for no letting you go before school? Maybe she wont have the money until then? If not argue that having everything done before school takes a load off of your back and makes you feel more prepared for school. And that you would be more confident and happy walking through the school doors in new clothes.
 
Tell her you want to make a good first impression and in high school first impression are based on who wears what. Tell her if you don't make a good first impression then you're toasted for the next 4 years. She'll might feel guilty. I hope I helped you!!
