What is a good older starting motorcycle?

hi, i am looking for a older motorcycle (78-94) and i was wondering if you know any good ones, for starting off, i know how to fix them as my father used to be a registered mechanic on small engines, and he grew up along with me, driving motorcycles and dirtbikes, i want one with enough power to be able to "pass" if needed, and be able to get out and go....

If you could let me know if you know any that would be great!
