What is a good model of earphones that can take an active lifestyle?

I have gone through a lot of earphones and none of them last through a year. So far I've used some by JVC, General Electric (good ovens and washers/dryers, but bad earphones), Alwa, and the complementary ipod ones (worked fine, but I accidentally melted them while in Sculpture class).

I don't want to spend too much, and I like the earbuds that go into your ear for sound isolation (I ride noisy buses/trains a lot). Good sound quality is a plus!

the more expensive one have great sound canceling
cheapest are 29 which are still really good
i saw some for 44 that were specially noise canceling
