The weight of the bicycle is important because I have a bad back and I would have to be carrying it up and down stairs to where I live. Also it needs to be a comfort bike so I am sitting upright. I am going to be using it to ride on paved paths and small to medium bike trips. I wouldnt mind spending extra at a bike shop if it meant the bike was lighter, more durable, and better overall. I have been to two bike shops so far and each of the people who helped me had a different selection of bikes on their show floors so their recommendations where different. I really dont know how finacially motivated those sales people and their recommendations are. I am not really sure where to start.
What is a good lightweight comfort/hybrid bicycle?
