I have a 351 Windsor that I believe is a crate motor that has been sitting for quite a few years. It has an old mechanical point system distributor on it right now. When I start it up the motor runs fine at idle, but if I rev it the motor wants to stall out, but if I increase the throttle gentle it will rev up until about half throttle and then it starts to cut out again. I have replaced the carburetor and I have checked for air leaks around the intake manifold and it is sealed tight. I have triple checked the firing order and changing the timing doesn't seem to do much either. I am thinking of replacing the distributor with a newer one. If anyone has any suggestions to what my problem could be or what a good distributor would be to choose I would greatly appreciate any input. thanks. Alex
