Upscale & child friendly are not compatible terms when speaking about restaurants. Your child may behave but the chances are he will get bored & start to squirm.
Either that or he will want to "visit" with other patrons.
Be respectful to the restaurant & other patrons, leave the baby home with a sitter.
Either that or choose something a little less upscale, Like Outback or Red Lobster.
Have a grown up evening for his birthday, so he can enjoy an evening with his wife, rather than his babies momma.
