What is a good basketball to get?

Last time I got a ball every shot someone took they bricked and they are good shooters, the ball did have a weird feeling to it, so what is a good ball to get?
I also need a new rim, is this good?

For indoor use you have to go with "The Rock" and yes that is actually the name. It is superb to all other to me.

For outdoor i agree with nike they are durable wont be disappointed.
