I am going to try out for my All-District Orchestra in a month, and I need to prepare a solo piece.
Baroque music is my favorite genre, so I want to try a play something from that era. I have been in the Chamber Orchestra for the 3rd year now in the 1st violins (I am a senior in high school), so I can pretty much take anything, although I am not the first chair.
Can anyone recommend anything? Also, nothing that is going to take a really long time; think an audition.
