What is a better workout, walking or riding bike?

I used to walk everyday with my daughter in the stroller, about 3 miles. But she would fuss a lot, and she was always throwing toys and things out of her stroller, so it was hard for me to keep a brisk pace because I had to keep stopping. Now, my husband got me a baby seat for my bike and my daughter seems to really like it. And because biking is a lot faster than walking, we're able to ride further (about 5 miles) in a shorter amount of time. So I'm just wondering which one is a better workout. Which one burns more calories? And which one is better for toning the legs?
