What inspires you to write a poem for a loved one?

i really want to write my gf a poem but im having writers block...
what usually gets you writing
 
Think about things that you like about her, things that she does that make you feel good, things that make you want to be a better person, etc...
 
why dont you start off with something about the day you were starting to love/like her?

"no other feeling like it.
strong, and it stays with me
like glue sticks on paper.
cant shake you off, but thats okay."

and then you go into the things that you like about her. then maybe you could describe how she makes you feel?
