I have a sister, Julia, who cannot tolerate certain (usually repetitive) sounds as well as other unusual things... such as, when our mother twirls her hair around her finger she will get fidgety and annoyed, also if someone bites their lip she can't stand it, or when our father repetitively bounces his leg (habit of his).
A few of the sounds she hates: Snoring, chewing/crunching, crickets, nail biting
Do you have any idea what this illness might be called? I was thinking maybe Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, but OCD doesn't quite match with her symptoms.
