Hi! I have a 1985 Mercury Outboard Motor that does not want to run on
#3 cylinder, in a consistent manner, usually starts running the best after all components are warmed up. I have ruled out a fuel problems. What I want to know is which of the ignition parts are the most vulnerable to failure. Coils or the switch box or stator or trigger assembly.
