what if the your phone/laptop contract ends?

hi,
if you buy a laptop with 24m contract and the 24m contract ends,after that would you keep your laptop or they take it back?
if the answer is you will keep your laptop yh is that mean you will no longer have to pay for internet?i mean you will have free internet as well,
