What if I joined the military with a pre-existing injury that I didn't know about.?

I joined the National Guard and I found out that I have torn tendons in my ankles which will require surgery to fix and it will take 2 months for me to recover. I'm currently on Christmas Exodus from basic training and I went to a doctor to get my ankles checked out. Whats going to happen to me when I tell my recruiter?
I went to sick call about three weeks in and they gave me a wrap and pain medicine. They didn't even look at my ankles, they just gave me the stuff and sent me on my way, so it is documented that I had them look at it. The reason why I am still talking to my recruiter is because I have to do hometown recruiting and I figured he would be the best person to ask. I told him that I was going to the doctor about ankle pains and he said it was fine, but he wanted to know the results when I was done. If it is pre-existing my question was what will the military do... fix it or discharge me...? I only have two weeks of basics left BTW.
