So i'm thinking about getting insurance, im 28, and havent had insurance on my own ever. but i had some back problems like 7 years ago and went to the docs, and still have them. but anyways, these health plans ask if i've had problems before with back, or drug abuse or whatever. do i need to tell them about all that? like if i just say no to all the above? do they do a "backround check" on me to see if ive been to hostpital before or what? how does that work when i never had insurance before? couldnt i just get the insurance and then say i just started having back problems, asthma, and allergies and they will fix me up? please inform me someone how this works and if it's illegal to not say my backround.
