said governments shouldn't do? JFK started his speech by saying the secrecy, the very word of of, is repugnant in a free and open society. He also said that it's very dangerous for the government to see a need for increased security and use that to censor what the government does. He even SAID that "no member of my administration should interpret my words tonight, as an excuse to censor the news, to stifle descent, and to cover up or mistakes"
So if a President of the US awhile ago said to not do these things, why would a US government under new leadership come in later on and do EXACTLY what JFK said not to do?
