So how do know if something you say on facebook that is meant to be funny, will actually translate well to the person.
I want to be able to say funny and witty stuff, but I worry that since I am not there in person to say it, it either wont make sense, be awkward, or just wont be funny.
You know the feeling, because since it isnt face to face, you can't include gestures, tone of voice and facial expression.
So how do you judge what works and what doesn't?

Yes I know this question probably makes me seem stupid, or might seem like common sense to most of you.
I'm fairly new to facebook (even though I am a teenager), and I'm just used to talking to friends face to face.
