may be you had a power surge or something, says something about leaving unattended appliances on in your absence? Surge protection is essential for delicate equipment, such as computers. This is all pure speculation. USB are power hungry, Maybe try reinstalling your BIOS, or at least checking it? Integrated circuits may not look damaged unless you look under a 1000 X magnification microscope.

I have EVERYTHING on it, and I came home today to find that my computers no longer recognize it, nor can I get the files off of it. I simply get a message on my PC telling me it no longer recognizes the device, and to try reconnecting. If not, replace the device. But everything is on it, and its still full with my information. How can I solve this problem?
I had it in my Mac, and had left home. I came back, and now my USB ports don't want to work right, and I can't use my keyboard. I'm on my PC laptop.. How can I salvage what's on my Flash Drive?
Ohhhh, I see. Thank you, I will try that.
