what happens to me is that i just find it so hard to breathe. i have to take really deep breaths and it feels like only so much air goes in. I get real thirsty and produce less saliva in my mouth as well.

Its been mid-terms week so i understand why and where its coming from. this week is finally over so im feeling a lot more calm now.

When you're body goes into sympathetic mode for a prolonged period it takes a pretty bad toll on your body. your constantly stressing and your very alert throwing in those cups of coffee and what not. you make less saliva. saliva is important because it contains an enzyme that washing your teeth. thats why you see meth addicts with real bad teeth. they're on constant alert with real dry mouth.

any way im glad i know what my problem is. i know i cant help it every time this happens to me but i sure can try to managae my stress and axiety better.

Best suggestion I have is to work on breathing techniques. They seem silly at first but after lots and lots of practice they are amazing! You can go from hot flashes and the anxiety sweats to near falling asleep.

Here is the key: Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. At first they may be quick intakes and quick exhales. Try to slow the pace as if you were just flickering a candle with your breath. This will slow you down, relax your body, and ease your mind. Whether you are a die hard OCD patient or just a stressed student, I highly recommend sticking with this and exploring its benefits. I used to be skeptical but picked it up again and its working wonders. Good luck on those exams.

I agree with Snicky. At first I needed Xanax to calm me down when I got that way, but then I learned some breathing techniques and now if it happens I can usually breathe it out in a few minutes.
