What happens when you draw a Rugby game in a world cup?

If it's at the knock out stages do you have extra time then some sort of penalties? Has this ever happened what are they like?
how far out are the kickings, what distance, what angle? do they get further out as you go along?
 
Correct it goes in to extra time - however there is NO penalty kicking, it happened in South Africa's CLUB tournament - the Currie Cup - between the Blue Bulls and the Cheethas - where the scores were equal at the end of the tournament and the organisers decided they would SHARE the CUP -

There was a lot of unhappiness with this decision and ALMOST caused riots in the streets - so they have decided that the team who has the MOST amount of points (points difference, Bonus points etc.) - who end up in a DRAW situation - will win the cup outright..
